Gagging Problem

User Level:
Patient

I have had dentures on top. I have been wearing it for three months now but my gagging problem has not been solved yet. It goes so bad sometimes that I end throwing up. I am trying to wear the dentures everyday but I have difficulties because of my gagging problem. What should I do? How do I solve my gagging problem? I would be grateful for any tips or suggestions!

Yep, sometimes patients discover too late they cannot tolerate upper dentures. That is why we try to talk patients out of getting all their teeth pulled. If the end of the denture is adjusted right and you still gag, there is no remedy that I know of. With four implants, you can have a palate-less denture constructed, and that will probably solve your problem. But that is probably a $10K-1$2K procedure.
