Flappy gum after wisdom tooth extraction

So, I got my lower right wisdom tooth pulled exactly one week ago. I does not hurt nearly as much anymore. The swelling has gone down. I looked at the extraction site this morning and I noticed that my right lower gum is slightly detached from my molar in the far back. I am not sure what to do. Will this tighten up on its own or should I see my dentist about this? Please help! Thanks.

Hello Toothman!

That is pretty normal. Leave it alone and it will heal and tighten up. 'Til then make sure you keep the pocket clean of any food deposits to keep it from infection.
