Effects of premolar extractions

Hi there,

Two of my premolars were extracted two months ago. Now, it's like my canine tooth is going away from my incisors. Is this normal? If it's not, what should be done to correct it? What are the other effects of premolar extractions? I am looking forward to your answers and thank you very much.

Hello dubygirl!

After a tooth extraction it can happen that the remaining teeth shift slightly. I suggest you find a dentist who can prevent the displacement of your teeth, for example with a retainer.

Even better would be to close the gap in your teeth, depending on the situation, through dental implants, a dental bridge or a prosthesis.

Thank you Doc. I'll visit a dentist to correct this.
