I visited my dentist to have the cavity in one of my molars refilled two years ago. She then told me that I need a root canal treatment because she saw a damaged nerve on the tooth. I went on with the procedure. After the treatment, I did not have any problem until lately, I noticed a foul odor from the treated tooth when I floss. I looked closely at it in the mirror and I noticed that my gum is a little bit swollen. I think the tooth was infected. Do I need a root canal treatment again? Do you have any other suggestions on the best way to treat this? I am hoping that I can still save this tooth.
Thank you for all your suggestions!
