I had a sinus lift little bit over a month ago. A week ago started feeling a little bit uncomfortable feeling on the place of the surgery. It's not a pain . Now I noticed that I developed white spot on he gum above healthy tooth . I will have tooth implant of 1st molar but the spot developed above second premolar healthy tooth which never even been treated . Do you think is it dental fistula? How it can be treated? And another question , after sinus left i always now have blocked nose on the side which was treated. Not during the day but when I am laying in bed .is that normal and will it pass with a time? Many thanks.

Dear Katerine,

Unfortunately I cannot tell if we're dealing with a fistula or not. The simplest thing to do is to go to your practitioner and he will be able to confirm this. Or you can upload a photo and then I will be able to tell you more about it.

Certainly, your nose can give you problems after a sinus lift, especially as blood frequently may find its way into the maxillary sinus and this can lead to disturbances in the ventilation of the nasal sinuses and also swelling of the nasal mucous membranes.

Without doubt an infection affecting your bone-growth should be ruled out (by your practitioner). In addition a non-invasive nasal sinus treatment would be useful:
Drink a lot (a glass of cold water in the morning and a glass of water after every visit to the toilet).
In the evening inhalation with hot water and before the inhalation take nasal drops against the swelling.

Doing this for 10 days will work wonders ...

good luck!
Liebe Grüße JB
