Dental braces post adjustment pain

Hello everyone!

I've got braces on and I've had them adjusted for the first time yesterday. Now, I feel so much pain in my mouth. It's even worse than when I actually had them put on. I can't chew anything so I haven't been able to have anything to eat! Any advice on easing the pain? Thank you!

Hi Blueberry!

I am sorry for your pain.

You can take painkillers. The pain will go away after a few days. Stick to softer foods until the pain goes away.

The pain should settle in a couple of days. Put an ice pack on the sore area and take ibuprofen to ease the pain away.
