Crown or Bridge?

Hi everyone!

The crown on my front tooth keeps breaking up. I always fix it using a superglue. However, last
week while I was eating, it broke into two. I am choosing between bridge or another crown. I want
this tooth to look natural like the rest of my teeth. The dentist said, I should go for a bridge, it makes the tooth look better. But I heard that this is expensive. Any suggestion on this? Does a bridge last longer than a crown? Please advice me. I want to decide carefully on this before I spend my money.

Thanks a lot!

Hello Carebear!

A bridge is indeed very expensive. You can ask your dentist to redo the crown. Tell him beforehand that you want the crown to match the shade of your natural teeth. I hope this helps!

I agree, you could just have the crown remade. Discuss your preferences with your dentist or you can try other dentists.

If you are only concerned with the appearance of the crown, I would have it redone. With the bridge, the teeth next to the space have to be prepared in order for the bridge to fit in.
