Continuous Pain

Hi there!

I am glad I found this site:-)

Here is my story.

After the extraction of my four wisdom teeth I had experienced pain in my lower gum area. It radiated all the way up to my ear. It turned out I developed a dry socket. After treating the dry socket, the pain continued. The dentist did a thorough examination and he found out that the molar beside the extracted lower right wisdom tooth has a crack. I've had a root canal on the tooth and now I have a permanent crown. The pain became more intense. I've developed temperature sensitivity. What should I do? I wonder if these will all be corrected when I have the permanent crown on next week. Please help!

The pain could stem from tooth neck defects, a pulpitis, an alveolitis, an osteomyelitis or even a combination of the 3.

I would visit a dentist immediately, and get it checked out!

When my temporary crown was put on after having a root canal done, I also had some discomfort. The dentist did not cement the permanent crown until all issues with the root canal therapy were resolved.
