Cold like symptoms linked to a hole in the tooth

Dear all,

My upper right second molar is giving me cold like symptoms. This tooth had a root canal done about 7 years ago. It now has a hole at the back part and I can see the filling from there. I do not have pain from this tooth, maybe because it has no nerve anymore due to the root canal. My problem is the cold like symptoms I have been having for several months now. I feel like I am burning up but my temperature is normal and I have a very low energy. I've got tight sinus, stuffy nose and body aches. I also developed a sinus infection. I never had these before. I began to have these symptoms only when the hole in my tooth had started to develop.

Is there a connection with the cold like symptoms to the hole in my tooth? If so, would pulling the tooth fix it? Your thoughts would be greatly appreciated.

I would advise you to visit your dentist and get some x-ray for that tooth. Sometimes reinfection can start from root canal treated tooth. if that is the case it can sometimes also involve the sinus if tooth root is located very close to sinus. Your dentist will be able to help you more with this regard.
