Cavity on a canine tooth?

I have noticed that my top left canine tooth has a black spot at the bottom. It is not sensitive and does not hurt but it’s getting bigger. If this is a cavity, what will the dentist do to fix it? This would be my first cavity ever and I am worried that the treatment procedure would hurt. Please help! Thanks.

Not every dark spot is a cavity. Could be stain. It will take a dentist in person to tell you. If it is a cavity, of course the dentist will want to do a filling, and you should want that as well!
