Hey, friends! I had braces and a lot of the brackets were placed close to the gum line so I have a good bit of recession on a lot of my teeth, which causes a lot of sensitivity. I can eat cold foods, but I have to alter the way in which I eat them to keep them away from my teeth. I develop the sensitivity pain very often, with no trigger. I usually have to go in to have something done about it at that point. I've tried toothpaste like Sensodyne which helps sometimes, I am planning to visit my family dentistry, Sierra Dental, Calgary. But before that can anyone suggest a home remedy for tooth sensitivity?

Must use a soft toothbrush. Add a quarter teaspoon of baking soda to quarter glass of water, Rinse your mouth with it. A fluoride rinse will also help to control sensitive teeth. Avoid sugary and acidic foods. Hope it will helps you.

Nope. But the dentist has more powerful remedies than toothpaste with potassium nitrate. YOUR JOB- Wet a Q-tip, freeze it, then touch different teeth with it in front of the bathroom mirror. Try to find the teeth most sensitive so the dentist can treat these first.
