“Bruise” under the tooth

Hello,

I’m hoping you can help me on short notice.

Last Sunday, I took a wrong bite. I bit vigorously into a grain roll. There was one hard grain in the middle and I bit with full force with the upper left incisor. It hurt terribly when it happened, but the pain subsided after a few minutes. On Tuesday, I saw my dentist for another minor procedure and asked him about it because the tooth was still aching every now and then and I wanted to know whether he could see anything. However, he said that I had only received a "blow" against the tooth since I bit on it so hard and that a kind of bruise had developed underneath it and would disappear on its own. Everything went well, but ever since last night, I’ve had constant pain in my tooth. Today I’m supposed to go on vacation and I was wondering if I should stop by the dentist one more time before then.

Until now, the tooth had always been healthy and had never required any fillings or treatments.
