Broken Molar

Hi!

I have a big filling in my lower left first molar. Three days ago, the filling fell out and only a stump of the molar was left. The dentist said the tooth has to go. The tooth is not giving me any problem and I don’t have enough fund for an implant or a bridge. Can they place something into the remains of the tooth instead of pulling it? Any suggestion would be much appreciated.

If the dentist said the tooth cannot be saved and you do not believe him, get a second opinion.

Do you want to wait until the tooth gets so infected it lands you in the hospital to take action?

It would be very wise to do a bone graft when the tooth is extracted, to make an implant possible later on, even if you don't have the money now.
