Dear experts,

I was eating some crisps (potato chips) today when I felt something go loose between two of my front-right teeth. Upon inspection it looked like a tiny piece of tooth had cracked of. It could also have been some bonding/filling material the dentist may have put in the last time I visited them? I cannot recall my last visit as it was so long ago. I feel no pain but I can feel the jagged edge when rolling my tongue over the damaged/cracked section.

Here is a picture of what the tooth looks like now that it is cracked. (apologies for the bad res)

I have also uploaded and attached it to this message.

I have a two part question:

1. What is the cheapest treatment I can get done to fill this gap? *(marked in a red rectangle)*
2. If you look at the tooth to the left, there is a brown line (semi circular shape). When running my nail over it,
I can feel a ridge at the line? Any idea what this is and what treatment is required to resolve this?* (marked in a brown rectangle)*

Thank you,

Jay

P.S. Yes I am from England and yes we really have bad teeth! *:'(

it is definitely a piece of an old restoration.............. from the picture we can definitely see that these old restorations would need a replacement. the cheapest option would be to go for direct bonding on both the teeth.
