Brackets pop off,is it normal?

I got my braces on a few days ago. My problem is, some of the brackets are popping off. One popped off on one of my front teeth and it puts a lot of pressure on another tooth that it hurts so bad. Another one popped off on the canine but this one does not hurt as bad. Is this normal? Can I wait for another week to get it fixed? I need to attend to something related to my work and I will only be free after a week. Will it not affect my teeth differently?

Your answers are greatly appreciated!

Hi there,

When one of my brackets popped off, I went to the orthodontist to get it fixed after more than a week. It's not a problem:-) But do not wait too long though, because it will also prolong the treatment.

Hello everyone,

I also have a problem with my brackets. One had popped off about a week ago. My dentist had fixed it. But yesterday, another one popped out. What should I do to avoid this completely? Please help as I do not want to prolong the time I wear my braces on. Thanks a lot.

They are probably just not set yet. The teeth move the most during the first week of having the braces that is why they
break a lot during that time. Mine also popped off and my orthodontist had re-cemented it.
