Braces or implant?

I had my baby tooth pulled about six months ago due to the adult tooth that grew behind it. However, my adult tooth only moved forward a little bit and has not filled the gap completely. It looks like I have a missing tooth because it is far behind. The orthodontist said, I need to get braces to fix this but I do not want to and I can't afford it yet. Can I have this tooth pulled and have a bridge/implant instead?

I look forward for your answers. Thanks a lot!

Good day Bassdrum!

I would think twice before removing a natural tooth. I would take the advice of the orthodontist- to have the braces. The implant needs to be replaced after a certain period of time whereas, after wearing braces, your teeth will be fixed permanently and you will not even have to lose a tooth.

Braces would be the best option. You can try the clear ones so they would not be noticeable. I agree with Corvette, you wouldn't want to lose a permanent tooth.

Dear bassdrum!

I agree with the opinion of the 2 posters here; better to save for longer and therefore receive the optimum treatment!

All the best!
