Bone Graft after Tooth Extraction

Anyone who can help please!!!
I am getting a tooth removed next Tuesday. The top right next to last tooth.
I am on antibiotic until next Tuesday. They can't do root canal because I chipped the tooth all the way to the gum line and they can't crown it, also the root is split into 2 and dentist thinks low success rate.
So she is extracting tooth next week. She has offered to do a Bone Graft in the tooth's place for an extra $325.00. I am not really concerned about the money..Just would like to know if this is a better choice rather then just get the tooth removed. Also, will this bone show as a tooth or be completely under the gums just to hold the space and keep teeth from shifting??
So is bone graft a good idea and would anyone recommend I do this..also, will the bone be completely under the gums and how will it affect my chewing?!
Thanks in advance if anyone can help me.

Wow, $325 is really cheap for a socket preservation graft.

If the tooth is cracked as badly as they say, then it cannot be saved.

An implant is the best choice for replacing the tooth. But an implant can't be done unless there is sufficient bone. That is why a bone graft should certainly be done. No, the bone will not show above the gumline.

In about 5 months you can have an implant placed. If you wait too long a time to have an implant, the bone will still be lost. The lesson here is better too much bone than too little.

The bone graft does nothing to keep teeth from shifting. A retainer may be necessary to prevent that.

Thank you very much for your response. So if I never plan to get an implant should I get the bone graft?
As of now..I do not plan to do anything with the implant or bridge... Do you think this will affect my chewing?
Thanks in advance.

Yep, not having a molar will affect your chewing.

No, if you never plan on having an implant or bridge the graft will be a waste of money. I think you will change you mind about this. You will miss that tooth!
