Bonded Tooth

User Level:

Hi there!

My chipped tooth was bonded today. I am a little bit bothered because it is rubbing against my tongue and it feels rough. Is this normal for a newly bonded tooth or was it bonded poorly? Can I have it adjusted? Please advice me what to do.

Thank you very much!

Hello Deepwell!

I would go back to the dentist and ask him to smoothen it so it won't abrade your tongue.

Hi there!

Report this to your dentist. Areas that feel rough can be smoothed easily if they are caught early.

I agree with the posters here.

It would be best to go the dentist now to have it polished. Food may get trapped along the margins and may cause decay in the long run.
