Blood blister on my gum

Hi all!

One of my upper molars was filled a week ago because I got cavity in it. Everything went well and I only have a mild pain now. Recently, I noticed a blood blister on my gum behind the filled molar. It hurts to touch. Yesterday, it was very painful. I do not know where it came from and I want to get rid of it. Can I pierce the blister or do I need to see dentist? Please advise.

Thank you in advance for your answers!

Hello Sweetfaces!

Blood blister can be very painful. You get this when a blood vessel is ruptured underneath the skin without actually opening the skin. Do not touch or pierce the blister because you might develop an infection if you do.It should dry up and heal on its own.

Do not pop it because it could lead to infection. It will go away on it's own. In case it will break, rinse with salt water.
