Black spots on filled tooth

Hi, three months ago, during my routine dental check-up, the dentist found a small cavity on tooth #5. I went to the dentist to have it fixed. He drilled the cavity and filled it with white composites. Lately, I noticed a small black spot on that tooth. It seems to be almost touching the filling. I don’t have any discomfort from this tooth. It’s just that I was bothered what this might be. Could it be a cavity? Does anyone have any ideas? Thank you for your help.

A picture would be highly beneficial, so upload us one if you can. Nevertheless, if you are positive that this isn't a stain, it certainly could be a cavity you are looking at. However, I find this hard to believe considering it has been only three months since you had a restorative procedure done on that tooth. You could always go back to your dentist and have it confirmed with an x-ray.

Probably a void in the composite resin that picked up stain.
