Bite elevation

User Level:
Patient

I have been undergoing dental treatment for a year now because of poorly executed crowns I received in the course of a total restoration. The crowns do not have any contact so therefore, a splint was made in order to raise the bite. It has been cut in for a year now – in the meantime, it was glued and raised because it broke.

Is it possible that I might not be able to have a proper bite again? Or is there something special I can do when I’m wearing the splint, such as wearing the splint permanently or only at night?

Please give me a helpful answer.

I am also under bite elevation treatment for my abnormal occlusion. I was instructed to wear the splint all day long.
