Being knocked out during routine dentistry

I'm sooooo scared of the dentist, that I can only go unless I get anesthetized. However, I'm concerned that it could be bad for me. Should I try and tough it out and be conscious?

I have a panic attack whenever I go to the dentist. When I had a root canal done, I was heavily sedated. I did not feel anything during the procedure. You can ask your dentist to do the same to you. Good luck:-)

Hello!

One thing you are definitely doing right – you are talking about your fears – that helps!

Fear is a completely normal emotion; however, if it reaches unmanageable proportions, it can affect us in our daily lives.

Millions of people receive dental treatment every day – I am sure you will manage to as well! Talking to other people helps – so keep at it!
