Awful taste after gum graft

Hello!

Three years ago, I underwent gum graft. I had receding gums. One year later, I started getting bad taste from that area. After five months, it got so bad that the periodontist had to remove the old graft and perform a new one. After about a month, the area still felt spongy and the bad taste got worse. The periodontist said the tooth had to be extracted. I went to an oral surgeon to do this. The problem was not solved even after the extraction. I still get the spongy feeling and the awful taste.

Any ideas what is causing the problem? I have seen two more dentists but they could not see where the problem come from. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
