I have tried several all dentists stating that they used a different compound to make the splint and I have gone into ANA each time. Has anyone ever heard of this?? Ended up in the ER then ICU.

Never experienced it, but heard it was possible. I once made a bit split out of chrome-cobalt alloy when a patient kept chewing through plastic. It worked, but was expensive. Guess it could be done in your case.

Most all splints are made out of methyl-methacrylate resin. There is ethyl methacrylate resin, but it is chemically a lot alike and probably would produce the same reaction.
