If you are not doing an implant, then grafting is not necessary. Find a dentist who will not push unnecessary procedures.

Most likely post op soreness- if dry socket, would be excruciating pain. Some swelling is normal but proper follow up is warranted, especially after 4 extractions.

If in doubt, seek a second opinion or see an endodontist (root canal specialist). Many times, failing root canal can be successfully retreated by a qualified dentist or specialist....
