What is an Inlay?
(26767 Views)
A Dental Filling is a material used to restore the function, integrity and structure of teeth. Fillings are commonly used to treat dental cavities also called caries, split teeth or broken teeth. To treat a cavity your dentist will remove the affected portion of the tooth and then refill the area where the unhealthy tooth material once lived with a dental filling material. Dental fillings are made of many different materials, such as Gold, Porcelain, Titanium, Silver Amalgam, Ceramic and many more. The choice of dental filling material depends on the nature and extent of the tooth damage but all these materials do share one fact: they last several decades if taken care of properly! This video shows the filling of a tooth with Inlays and gives you detailed information on the procedure.
