A tooth neck defect is tooth damage on the tooth neck. These defects can have various reasons, often a wrong brushing technique is the cause. Not only the maintenance of the defect is important during treatment, but also the correction of the causes is an important element of the therapy. If a tooth displacement is the reason a correction of the tooth displacement with the aid of braces should happen. If a wrong brushing technique is the cause a new brushing technique has to be learned.
