Oral surgery is an internationally recognized discipline in dentistry. Oral surgery deals with the correction of problems or damage to the mouth, teeth and jaw. It is not called oral and maxillofacial Surgery (OMS), this encompasses both oral surgery and surgery on the structures of the face, sinuses and neck. In the course of specialization, dental surgery became oral surgery, a branch oral and dental surgery.
