White Object Protruding From My Throat

I was playing dentist yesterday and found this fella sticking out from the back of my mouth. At first I thought it was a rather large tonsillolith, but it isn't connected or in my tonsils, it's "coming up" from my throat or so it seems to be. It doesn't hurt or prohibit me from breathing, eating, or doing any other bodily functions. The most alarming thing about it (at least when I discovered it) is that it seems to have pink veins, meaning it can't just be a large clump of food lodged in the back of my mouth I've been carrying around for who knows how long. And yes, I've confirmed it about ten times to make sure it is what it seems. But again, it doesn't hurt and I can barely feel it.

I have a rather sensitive gag reflex, so I haven't been able to see if I can take it out externally. Coughing and any other internal dislodging methods haven't worked either. Water doesn't work. I've tried gurgling Listerine last night to see if that would break it down IF it were food. I tried again this morning and again with salt water but no dice. I've looked at several mouth and throat anatomical diagrams on the internet and none seem to have this structure in them, so.... I'm guessing it isn't normal. I've calmed down after freaking out about it for a good portion of last night, but it's still bothering me. Someone please shed light to what this is!

Nobody will have any idea what it is without examining you in person. Is it the large object on the back of your tongue? It might be your uvula resting on your tongue. Please see an dentist, or better yet an oral surgeon.

It is the object behind my tongue, yes. The angle of the photo isn't great, but my uvula is hiding behind my teeth, so it is not my uvula.

Thank you for the quick response though. I just wanted some earlier response or answer before an appointment is made.

Did you ever find out what it is? I'm having that problem now and I cannot find anything
