How can I save my decaying teeth?

Dear Doc,

I visited my dentist today for a sensitivity around the gum line of my first molar. He said the gum was receding and he took an X-ray to see further damage. The X-ray image showed that the area between the molar and premolar is decaying. He said he could refer me to an specialist to save
the teeth or he can extract them for me. I do not want to lose my two teeth because I already lost
two teeth before. What are my options to repair these teeth and which of them is the cheapest? I
am planning to have this treated in 6 months time. I need enough time to save money for the procedure. I do not feel any pain from those teeth at the moment and I hope they will not give me any problem until I'll be able to save up.

Can you please advice me on this? Thank you very much!

Dear lovemolar,

the cheapest option is not always the best. You should have a good think about how much you want to invest.

Moreover, I would not only rely on pain only as a symptom of a dental issue, given a serious tumor could also develop in a painless manner.

I would get several opinions on the matter and then choose one as soon as possible!

All the best!
