Help, infection is coming back!

Two months ago, one of my bottom teeth was removed due to severe infection. Prior to this, I was put on a course of antibiotics. A week after the procedure, I developed cold sores and I got dull pain in the extraction site. The cold sores lasted for ten days and went away. After about three weeks, I had cold sores again and my jaw became painful. The pain had spread into my neck. Is this is an infection that didn’t go away? Does an infection come and go? Any help would be great. Thank you.

The cold sores are a viral infection that is separate from a dental infection. Usually they are triggered by trauma. To have such frequent recurrance of Herpes lesion outbreaks might mean your immune system is compromsied.
