Gaping hole in tooth

User Level:
Posted by: liljie  (3 years ago)

My upper right first molar is giving me a problem. I have it filled five years ago. Last year the filling came out but I took it for granted since there was no pain nor sensitivity. Recently, I noticed a gaping hole in the tooth. I now feel a mild pain on the tooth but it's on and off. What are my options to address this tooth? Is another filling possible?

I would appreciate all your help!

Thanks Doc! I would love to save this tooth. I do not want to have a gap in my teeth. I've read many times how a gap caused problems to the other teeth.

If the gap is not too large, you can get it filled and have a crown placed on the tooth. Have it evaluated by your dentist. He can advise you further.
