Flipper care tips

Hello!

I recently got a flipper for my extracted front tooth. I have to wear it for six months until my implant is ready.

Should I wear the flipper 24/7? It’s very uncomfortable to wear but I also do not want to have any problem in the future as a result of not wearing it. Does anyone have any proper care tips for flipper? Thank so much.

Hey,

A flipper is just a temporary solution to tooth replacement, but under-estimating its longevity is pretty easy. They are usually made up of acrylic which is usually a little too fragile to eat with. Therefore, you most likely would have to remove it for meals to prevent it from breaking under heavy bite forces.

A 24/7 usage is thereby not feasible, as simple as that. Use it when you really need to and keep it clean and safe all other times. Be well!
