Broken dental bridge

Dear everyone,

I have a 3-unit bridge replaced on teeth numbers 29, 30 and 31, with tooth number 30 as the pontic, for about 20 years now. Today while I was eating, a section of the bridge came off and it feels uncomfortable. What can I do? I cannot afford an expensive dental work for now and I am hoping that the bridge can still be fixed.

Thanks!

Hello!

A broken dental bridge can be fixed and it will not cost you a lot. You should go to your dentist as soon as possible. You may hurt your oral tissues if the broken piece is sharp.

Dear Hollowhole,

If the dental bridge is completely broken off, they will most probably replace it. You will be uncomfortable with the broken bridge. Your teeth can become damaged or broken by wearing an appliance the wrong way.
